Signs of Summer

16″ x 12″ Oil on RayMar Cotton Panel

Contemporary Seascape

I had a panel that I was ready to trash, and decided to turn the panel upside down and start something new.  No more boats on this painting!  I had lots of lavenders, greys, and flesh tones on my palette, so I decided I would paint the beach.  The seagrass (thinking of Seabrook Island) is shooting out of the sand—I wish I had used some impasto on the grass, as it will take a long time for the globs of paint to dry. Thanks for looking at my blog…I hope that you can feel the sand between your toes when you see this painting.  Thanks, KMW
